COLLABORATIONS

Together with Jiri Santrucek, Institute of Plant Molecular Biology, Academy of Sciences, Budweis, Czech Republic the ecology of cuticular transpiration is investigated (Karbulkova et al. 2008).

Chemical composition of cutin and waxes is analysed together with Jose Graca, Centro de Estudos Florestais, Departamento de Engenharia Florestal, Instituto Superior de Agronomia, Universidade Tecnica de Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal (Santos et al. 2007).

Cutin and wax biosynthesis of Arabidopsis (Panikashvili et al. 2007) is investigated together with Asaph Aharoni, Weizmann Institute, Rehovot, Israel.

In collaboration with Frank Pinot, Institut de Biologie Moleculaire des Plantes, CNRS, University Strasbourg, France we are interested in the function of P450 hydroxylases involved in cutin, wax and suberin biosynthesis (Kandel et al. 2007).

Together with Merce Figueras, University of Girona, Girona, Spain suberin biosynthesis in potato (Serra et al. 2009) is investigated.

In collaboration with Ernst Steudle, Plant Ecology, University of Bayreuth we are working on the relationship between the chemical composition of apoplastic barriers in roots and their properties as transport barriers for water and oxygen (Schreiber et al. 2005).

Radial oxygen loss across suberized root barriers (Soukup et al. 2007) is investigated together with Ales Soukup, Department of Plant Physiology, Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic.

The effect of hypergravity on elongation growth and lignin formation in Arabidopsis (Tamaoki et al. 2006) is studied together with Ichirou Karahara, Toyama University, Japan.
